Grumeti Air – our airline of choice in Tanzania – safely and efficiently connects them to our lodges from Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport, and this world-class airline also provides internal flights within the region to enable effortless connections between lodges in different locations.

Of course, flying with this small luxury airline comes with a range of other benefits too – all reminiscent of those quintessential and unhurried African safaris of old, but with every modern comfort you'd expect now. These include landing on secluded airstrips in the wilderness, instead of crowded primary hubs; as well as the flexibility to customise routes and times according to your needs.

As the youngest fleet in East Africa, Grumeti Air offers state-of-the-art aviation. Its beautifully refurbished fleet boast interiors with an elegant safari feel; and a spacious 10-seat configuration (instead of the usual 12) allows for extra legroom and luggage. Provision is made for guests on multi-stop trips, and luggage that may only be needed later in itineraries (for example, for hiking, diving or golfing) can be stored with a premium service in Arusha. Pre-arranged pick-ups and deliveries are available at both Arusha and Kilimanjaro Airports.

Sharing Singita’s ongoing commitment to sustainability, and also playing an active part in helping to fight climate change, Grumeti Air is a proudly African business that is deeply entrenched in the welfare of these wilderness areas. Since 2019, the carrier’s dedicated carbon-offsetting programme has worked in tandem with Carbon Tanzania* to offset all its fuel emissions.

* Carbon Tanzania works to reduce deforestation and degradation and preserve still-intact forests. Funds are channelled directly to communities who use the revenue to protect the forests, and to fund education and healthcare projects.

Guests arriving in Dar es Salaam and at Kilimanjaro International Airport bound for our lodges in Singita Serengeti will be met by a Singita Host – arranged ahead of time during your booking process – to welcome them and help them through passport and immigration on arrival, allowing for an easy entry into Tanzania. 

Guests travelling to and from Singita through Arusha and Kilimanjaro will have the benefit of private luxury road transfer – suitable for family groups of up to eight – in well-equipped vehicles (with features such as refreshments, preloaded iPads, sunblock, wi-fi and USB chargers) making the transition from air to road as seamless as possible.
