Bird-watching at Sasakwa Lodge
There is a wide variety of bird species at Singita Serengeti and the area is a bird watcher’s dream. Guests can engage with the Field Guides at the lodge to learn more about the birds in the area.
Bird-watching is an addictive activity, so much so that many of our guests arrive here with a mild interest in birds, and leave as avid twitchers! A list of some of the birds to look out for:
- Grey kestrel
- Brown/Meyer’s parrot
- Grey crowned cranes
- African cuckoo
- Juvenile martial eagle
- Sunbird enjoying nectar
- Male pin-tailed whydah
