Tovhi Mudau
Tovhi Mudau was born and grew up in Venda, where from a young age she had an affinity for the bush and nature and spent a lot of her holidays in the Kruger National Park with her family and friends. During the latter part of her childhood she moved to Johannesburg where she finished her schooling, after which she went on to study and complete her Bachelor of Science majoring in Zoology and Physiology. After finishing her initial studies, she began Field Guide training at NJ More Field Guide college for the next six months to pursue a career in guiding.
Here she became inspired to not only work with animals but to also work with people directly, as this appealed to her social nature and allowed her to share her love for bush. Shortly after graduating as a guide she began working at lodges in the Sabi Sands.
She is currently studying for her Honours in Environmental Management via correspondence to nurture her love for learning and passion for conservation and nature. Her interest in nature lies in all of its components and how they work together as a whole. Above and beyond being a naturalist, she is a passionate philanthropist chairing a non-profit organisation called Acts Of Kindness (A-OK), whose main objective is to demonstrate acts of Kindness that aim to elevate the overall well-being of individuals, communities and the South African nation as a whole by encouraging the practice of Ubuntu and empowering the indigent parts of society.
