Gareth Poole
Gareth’s parents exposed him to the bush from a very young age. Both his parents worked in a game reserve, one as a guide and the other a chef! Their passion for wildlife and its surroundings has thus naturally been passed on.
After swiftly completing his degree in marketing & management, he darted off to start a guide training course with a recognized operator in early 2010. He missed his graduation in order to attend the course, but this didn’t bother him at all. All he wanted to do was to start exploring all our natural heritage.
Gareth has discovered that his true passions within the realm of guiding are tracking, birding and photography. He thoroughly enjoys involving his guests in all three of these aspects during a safari. His greatest sighting to date is having successfully tracked a female leopard to her den (along with his tracker), to then only moments later return with his guests to witness that female leopard carrying one of her 4 week old cubs in her mouth just meters from their vehicle.
