Daffy's love for the bush took root in his childhood village of Guruve, nestled in Zimbabwe's Mashonaland Central Province. Growing up, he honed his skills in setting traps and hunting small game, supplementing his family's table with his quarry. This early connection with nature kindled a passion that would shape his life's journey.

A chance encounter with a seasoned safari guide in Kariba opened Daffy's eyes to the possibility of turning his wilderness fascination into a career. Inspired, he pursued his canoeing guide's license, spending five adventurous years navigating the Lower Zambezi River's waters along the Zimbabwe and Zambian borders.

Driven by an insatiable thirst for exploration, Daffy expanded his horizons, obtaining his learner guide's license. Matusadona National Park in Kariba became his playground, where he guided guests through countless thrilling expeditions. In 2000, he embarked on a new chapter, making the vast Hwange National Park his home for over two decades as a fully licensed guide.

While Hwange held countless wonders, Daffy's curiosity remained unquenched. The opportunity to join Singita Pamushana and explore the untamed beauty of Gonarezhou National Park in Zimbabwe's southeastern lowveld proved irresistible. With a deep love for learning about mammals, birds, trees, and honing his photography skills, Daffy embraces this new frontier, eager to unravel its secrets and share them with those who join him on this wild adventure.
