For all your logistical and transport needs in Tanzania, our Singita Meet & Greet ground service is there to walk you through every part of the process. Whether it’s transporting guests from their arrival airport (Arusha, Kilimanjaro or even Dar es Salaam) to their hotels for an overnight stay before meeting their flight to their final destination, or facilitating transfers between airports, a Singita representative will be there with you.

From assisting with swift steerage through passport control and customs, to transfers in luxurious vehicles fully equipped with refreshments, WiFi and charging ports (among other much-needed features), your dedicated host will ensure a soft landing in this beautiful and hospitable country before you head to the lodge itself on Grumeti Air, our travel partner in Tanzania.

Grumeti Air is a small, personalised safari airline manned by a skilled and experienced team of pilots. With extensive and specialised experience in lodge and aviation-centric hospitality services, it flies between key destinations in the Serengeti, and to our lodges from the major airport hubs.

The airline connects the key destinations in the Serengeti and Ngorongoro regions with the city of Arusha and Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) two to three times a day in both directions, allowing for seamless travel for guests arriving at our lodges in Singita Grumeti.

With landing strips in remote and secluded African settings – a refreshing alternative to the chaos of a traditional travel hub – it’s an experience like no other, and when landing in the bush you will find yourself on safari the moment you touch down, often already surrounded by wildlife.

A crucial element of what sets Grumeti Air apart is its dedication to stringent safety measures. Adherence to the highest safety policies, compliance with all European and American standards and multi-crew cockpit operating procedures ensure ultimate peace of mind for passengers, who can feel assured that they’re in the very best hands.

Grumeti Air’s commitment to comfort and convenience sees that the trip is not only safe, but luxurious. The airline uses only state-of the art aircrafts (it has the youngest fleet in East Africa) which have been stylishly refurbished with an elegant safari feel and are manned by professional and friendly pilots. The 10-seat configuration (as opposed to the standard 12), gives guests more leg room and offers more generous provision for luggage.

As a small luxury operator, Grumeti Air has the added advantage of being able to customise routes too, and determine its own flight timetable to allow guests to travel at their own pace while giving them more time in their chosen destination and less in transit. Direct connections too, between destinations, with usually only one intermediate stop along the way makes for quick and easy transfers.

To enhance the experience with an East Africa circuit, Grumeti Air offers a link between the Serengeti and Kigali in Rwanda, which launched in June 2021 and operates three times a week in both directions.

This allows guests to experience the remarkable landscapes of both Rwanda and Tanzania – the sweeping sunbleached plains of the Serengeti and the majestic mist-enveloped forests of Singita Volcanoes National Park – in one unforgettable trip.
