Remote trigger photography

During lockdown I’ve been experimenting with a DSLR camera trap system. I set it up at Chikwete Pan, in what I hoped was a safe place… As the animal triggers the beam my off-camera flash fires in sync with the camera’s shutter. I left the system out for a night and went to see what it had recorded the next morning. I was relieved to find the camera where I had left it, and not having a mudbath due to an interfering animal! And I was thrilled to retrieve these photos of the nocturnal goings-on.
