As our journey in Africa continues to unfold, we're privileged to be expanding into Botswana’s Okavango Delta – to play our part in preserving and sharing one of Africa's, and the world's, most unique and captivating ecosystems.
Opening in 2026, Elela – meaning 'to flow' in Setswana – is a natural continuation of all that we hold true. Operating year-round as a series of exclusive-use camps, it's a sanctuary. A place of rest and restoration – for us and nature.
Inspired by the Delta’s seasonality
Made up of ancient meandering waterways that fill when the rains arrive and recede as the seasons change, the Delta is an ever-shifting patchwork of species-rich islands, lagoons, grasslands, and swamps. Its complexity and biodiversity are matched only by its beauty.
Elela will honour and embody its essence of continuity through intuitively designed spaces and experiences that immerse travellers in the surrounding landscape of 420 000 acres of pristine wilderness. Through design, it will facilitate presence and unlock the profound sense of freedom that can only be found deep within the wild.
