  • PayGate will maintain Payment Card Industry (PCI) compliance and as such PayGate is responsible for securely storing, processing and transmitting card data to the PCI compliance standard.
  • PayGate supports 3D secure payment methods. When you purchase any good or service online through PayGate, it provides an added layer of security to protect against fraud and ensure the credit card holder has authorised the transaction.
  • 3D secure methods supported by Paygate include Mastercard’s SecureCode, Visa’s Verified-by-Visa, and American Express SafeKey. The authentication method may vary due to your card issuer and preferences, but often takes the form of an OTP you receive by SMS or through a banking app push notification when you make an online purchase. The card holder is prompted to fill in the OTP or password for the transaction before the payment is authorised. This ensures an added layer of safety and security for your online purchases.
