Solomon Ndlovu
Solomon was born at Othava, in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, right next to Singita Ebony and Singita Boulders.
Growing up in close proximity to these well-known reserves predisposed him to guiding, a goal he reached only after hard work and determination. He enrolled for his first course at Ekukhanyeni, Nelspruit, qualifying as a tracker and working at Ngala Private Game Reserve before being appointed as a guide at Shidule Game Reserve in 2007. When an opportunity to participate in a 6-week course at Singita Sabi Sands came along in 2010, he grabbed it with both hands and stayed on as tracker afterwards. Accepting a transfer to Singita Lebombo and Sweni lodges brought him closer to his initial goal of qualifying as a guide which he continued to study for until he reached it in 2014, vowing to hold onto his lifelong ambition forever and a day.
