Evidence Nkuna

Evidence Nkuna was born in Welverdiend, a village on the western boundary of the Kruger National Park. From a young age he spent long hours in nature, especially when he was herding his grandfather’s cattle with his elder brothers. Whilst attending Primary School, Evidence and his classmates would frequently go on school trips to the nearby Manyeleti Game Reserve and the Kruger National Park. It was during these trips that he really came to love and dream about the bush. After highscool Evidence completed one year of studying Tourism Management at TUT (Tswane University of Technology), but due to a lack of funding he couldn’t complete the three-year course.

Evidence’s journey with Singita started in 2008 at Lebombo, where he was first a night porter for five months, then night bus driver, day bus driver-and porter and airwing for four and a half years. It was during his years at the airstrip that he used all his spare time to start studying for the FGASA Level 1 qualification, during which time he also entered the Guide Mentorship Program, aspiring to become a Singita guide. A year and a half later and Evidence is one of the newest members of SKNP’s guiding team!
