Damin Dallas
Born in Johannesburg, South Africa, Damin’s love and passion for nature started at a young age with his very first trip to the bush in the Kruger Lowveld region. Damin 1st visited the Sabi Sand Game Reserve 18 years ago and visited every year since, spending multiple school and university holidays in the Northern parts of the reserve.
When not in the bush, Damin had a large collection of nature books and wildlife documentaries which he watched over and over again, developing a keen interest in both animal behaviour and wildlife photography. After high school, Damin studied a BSc in Botany and Zoology before completing a Post Graduate degree in Wildlife Management at the University of Pretoria where his thesis was based on the behaviour and rank acquisition of spotted hyena cubs.
Damin went on to work for the Sabi Sand Game Reserve management, first as the Conservation Student before quickly working his way up to being the Conservation Officer for the reserve. After three valuable years, Damin decided it was time to follow his true passion of guiding and made the move over to Singita Sabi Sand where he loves inspiring guests and passing on his knowledge.
