Bernard Hosea
Bernard was born in the mid 1980s in Maswa, Shinyanga region, an area bordering the Serengeti National Park in Tanzania.
After school he enrolled at the Serengeti Institute of Tourism for a 2-year diploma in Hospitality Management where he was awarded the First Upper Class Certificate. Because he completed his practical training at a 5-star hotel on the shore of Lake Victoria before starting at Singita Serengeti in December 2006, he was appointed as chef at several lodges where he entertained and enchanted guests with his culinary abilities.
Bernard qualified as a guide in 2012, a position that has allowed him to enthrall guests with tall tales of his childhood while sharing fascinating facts about the flora and fauna. He is happiest when he can tell his life story of how Singita shaped him to become the best guide he could be.
