Adas Anthony Shemboko

Adas was born in 1972 in Tanga Region on the coast of Tanzania.

Although he first qualified as a motor mechanic and started his own business, Adas soon realized that he preferred dust and mud to oil and grease. His passion for wildlife motivated him to study animal behavior after which he joined Singita Grumeti and completed the Guide Training Course. His thirst for insight has since helped him to notch up more skills including rifle handling.

As one our most experienced guides, Adas Anthony has an extensive and enviable knowledge of the concession, the history of Tanzania, its people and its culture. Having keen eyes and a steady hand, he has also become an accomplished photographer, often assisting guests to capture spectacular shots. His other interests include soccer, running, movies, books and keeping up with world news.
