Singita Kruger National Park

Kruger National Park | April 2012

Africa’s giants are an integral part of the safari experience. Guests can hardly contain themselves as the first signs of elephant reveal themselves. Perhaps fresh tracks and dung in the road, the sound of snapping branches in the distance or their huge bodies protruding from within the Sticky Thorn thickets. Having an elephant tower over you like in the picture above is a thrilling experience. One cannot possible explain the string of emotions that instantly flood your body but what you do know is that you life is changed in some way or another.

You now know that Africa is real. April at Singita Kruger National Park is elephant time as they enjoy the abundance of water from within the N’wanetsi River system. The dry season is upon us and was it not for the consistent pools of water within this river they would certainly move away.
