The sous chef position is based in the lodge kitchen and is responsible for the management of the kitchen and taking responsibility in the absence of the Head Chef. The ideal candidates must have a minimum of 5 years management experience in a medium sized kitchen and an excellent understanding of kitchen procedure and timing requirements, good planning and organisational skills.
The Senior Field Guide position is based in the guiding department at Singita Sabi Sand and aims to provide guests with a profound all round guided bush experience. Our candidate must be passionate about the bush and serious about guiding, and available to work at all of the Singita properties as required operationally.
We are looking for a person that has 4 years’ work experience – ideally 2 years as a trainee in a well-recognized five star hotel or world class lodge, to join our team. The ideal candidate must have management experience, financial skills, an excellent eye for detail, passion for the natural environment, concern for sustainability and a sound knowledge of food and beverage.
We are looking for a person to join our team in the kitchen that has a passion for cheffing and kitchen-related duties and is determined to grow in this area. The main purpose of the chef de partie is to ensure that quality food is produced in a hygienic environment, in line with the required Singita Standards.
We are looking for a person that has 2 years working experience in a managerial/assistant role and preferably a formal education in any of the following areas: air conditioning, plumbing, carpentry and electrics. The assistant maintenance manager is fully responsible for all aspects of maintenance on the property, must ensure that all equipment is fully operational, that the lodges and staff village are maintained to the highest level possible and that preventative maintenance is carried out on a continual basis.
Amukeri – a Shangaan word meaning ‘the one who welcomes you’.
The Amukeri position is based in the Lodge and involves the efficient running of the front of house administration and reception function of the lodge. The person joining our team must have a friendly/bubbly nature, attention to detail, excellent admin skills and telephone etiquette.
We are looking for a versatile, talented intern with a passion for décor and design to join Singita Style, Design and Procurement. This will be a supportive role, strong communication and administrative skills are key.
We are on the lookout for a highly self-motivated Reservations Consultant to join our Reservations Team on a temporary basis (maternity cover) from 1 April 2016 to 15 November 2016. Experience in reservations systems and guest facing interactions advantageous.
The therapists are fully responsible for the management of the spa and gym facilities at both lodges. The main purpose of the therapist is to provide body and beauty treatments for the guests in line with Singita standards. He/she should ensure that the spa and gym facilities are fully stocked and operational, to attain these standards.
The field guides are fully responsible for conducting guided safari experiences that are unique, personalized, professional and enjoyable. The entire experience should be delivered with humility, professionalism and flexibility, with the end result being an educational experience for all.

“I started working at Singita Lebombo in September 2010. During this time I was nominated for employee of the month numerous times, and won it twice. In 2014 I was voted as the “employee that goes the extra mile”. I worked as Assistant Head Driver for almost three years, while also working as the Airwing. I really enjoyed meeting the guests and seeing them off before they headed home. Most weeks I did the banking trip to Skukuza and was proud of the trust that accompanied this trip, as it included financial responsibility as well as dropping off/collecting guests at Skukuza airport. I also filled in for the Head Driver when he was on leave by doing the shopping trip to Nelspruit.
Since 2010 I have really enjoyed my job and working with everyone at Singita Lebombo. It was a sad day when John Mangane decided to retire, but it left some opportunity for me to grow within my department. I applied for the Head Driver position and was very happy to know that I was successful.

“After culinary school I landed a six month contract at Singita Lebombo and Sweni to cover for Jane, a chef from the local community, who was going on maternity leave. Soon after my arrival on the property it became evident that Singita is more than just a Luxury Safari Lodge. The caliber of staff you work along-side, become your family; you share an equal passion for excellence, pristine environments, conservation and ultimately delivering an unforgettable, unique and honest service to guests. It later became apparent that six months was not long enough for me!
