Anthony was born in 1967 and grew up in the Mara region, Tanzania.

He joined the luxury tourism industry and worked his way up within a few years: from tent attendant and housekeeper to ranger and game driver. This hunger for knowledge has driven him to attend a number of training programs and gain much experience in the Serengeti National Park, Ruaha National Park, Tarangire National Park and Lake Manyara National Park until he eventually joined Singita Grumeti Reserve in 2012.

Anthony’s interest in conservation is infectious which is why he enjoys watching elephant herds – his favorite animal. He doesn’t ignore the smaller ones, however, and his best sighting was spotting a red-throated bee-eater. Anthony feels privileged to be the first to see it in Tanzania because this tiny bird is usually only found in tropical Africa, in Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon and Central African Republic.
