Anicet distinctly remembers falling in love with nature at the age of 6 years while herding cattle and learning about the medicinal value of plants from his uncle. His inquisitive and competitive nature drove him to expand his knowledge and soon he became known as an expert in plants and birds. He qualified as a plumber, but the call of the wild kept ringing in his ears so he changed course, studied tourism and became a professional field guide who now has more than 10 years’ experience.
Having traveled extensively to the USA, Europe and Africa and meeting people from many cultures, Anicet has come to the conclusion that the future of wildlife depends 100% on how we treat animals in the present. He enjoys every moment in nature – even if it means seeing the same impala grazing gracefully, day after day.
