A Year Well Spent

As we prepare for the festive season and celebrate all that we have accomplished, we also use this time to look back on the year gone by. At Singita, we are driven by our goal to achieve our 100-year purpose which would be impossible to reach without the support of our guests and partners.

Singita Sweni Lodge, Kruger National Park, South Africa

Without the assistance of like-minded individuals and organisations, we would not be able to implement our community, biodiversity and sustainability programmes at the scale at which they currently operate. It is because of the generosity of our guests, trade partners, media associates, philanthropists, and NGOs that our conservation partners are able to conserve the vast and wild landscapes in the areas in which we operate.

Singita Pamushana Lodge, Malilangwe Wildlife Reserve, Zimbabwe

And, while ongoing and sustainable funding is essential to Singita’s conservation model, the day-to-day work of protecting and preserving African wilderness by our teams on the ground is vital to the model’s success. Partnerships with non-profit funds and trusts such as the Singita Lowveld Trust in South Africa, the Grumeti Fund in Tanzania and the Malilangwe Trust in Zimbabwe assist us in carrying out out conservation efforts in each region. In addition to this, and to broaden the impact and reach of each project, Singita collaborates closely with national wildlife authorities and non-governmental organisations. The profound impact of this kind of approach is evident in the transformation of the land in which the Funds & Trusts operate, giving rise to the thriving biodiversity of each reserve and concession which affords our guests truly exceptional safari experiences.

Singita Explore, Grumeti, Tanzania

The great achievements and brave strides that we have taken this year would not have been as successful without the undying commitment and dedication of Singita’s staff, as well as the generous support of our conservation partners. Without you we would not be able to pursue our purpose of preserving Africa’s most iconic and precious wilderness areas for future generations.

As part of its current festive season campaign, Singita is raising funds for the education projects that form part of the community partnership programmes in our three countries of operation. There has been an amazing response to the call for donations and Singita would like to give thanks to those who have been so generous in supporting these young learners who are now destined for a brighter future. If you would like to become a part of our world by making a contribution yourself, please visit this page where you can make a tax-deductible donation in any amount.
