“I speak of Africa and golden joys.” William Shakespeare’s words couldn’t be more apt to describe the month of April we’ve experienced.

With concentrated intensity the leaves of the mighty baobabs and white Kirkias turned to spectacular yellow and gold – colours enough to rival the most organic of free-range egg yolks or 24 karat gold ingots!

This first image I took early in the morning while the moon was still up, on the 7th of April. At midday on the 18th of April I stopped at the same spot and took the second image of the same scene:
