Singita Lebombo Lodge

It has been almost 45 days since we returned from our honeymoon, and we continue to talk about how perfect our trip was. Every detail far exceeded our expectations. On the safari, the staff at Singita Lebombo became our family, especially Brian and Andrew, our guides. The game viewing never disappointed. The food and wine far exceeded expectations. And the accommodations were modern, private, and unforgettable.

The morning of our departure the team even gave us recommendations and maps to take on to Cape Town, and after arriving at Cape Grace, Nigel Pace, General Manager at Singita Kruger National Park sent us a personal follow-up email. A trip to South Africa is without-a-doubt an incredible experience, but the team at Singita takes it to a whole new level with their attention to detail. We look forward to returning!!

Singita Ebony Lodge

“Best place I've been to”

WOW what an experience from start to finish. Had my 50th birthday here during a five night stay. Everything and I mean everything was fantastic. Wonderful room with a spectacular view down the Sand river with views of elephants crossing the river. Food and matching wines of a spectacular quality and taste. Service excellent. Game drives a joy. Not enough superlatives to describe this place. Thanks to all the staff particularly Cherie, Leon, Themba and Auto. Thanks to Tom the manager for joining me on a run one day.

It's so good that on our return we booked to go again for Christmas this year.

Singita Ebony Lodge, Singita Sweni Lodge

“Out of this world experience!”

We just returned from our honeymoon trip to South Africa! Our experience with Singita far surpassed my wildest dreams. We spent two nights at Singita Ebony and two nights at Singita Sweni. From the moment we chose to stay here the experience was full service. Their properties were 5 star, but the best part about it was the entire experience was comfortable and not snooty or stuffy. The staff at both lodges have thought of every comfort you could imagine. They are always a few steps ahead of your needs or what you don't even know you need yet! The personalized service is incredible.

You don't go hungry here either! The food is delicious....snacks and drinks were around every corner. We really enjoyed trying the South African wine and trying some of the more local food.

Our safari guides and trackers were so knowledgeable and patient. We saw the big 5, plus many more animals in both parks! Their skills, knowledge, and passion of the area is inspiring and contagious.

Both lodges treated us to romantic and special surprises. I won't spoil the surprises here for those that want to go, but it was truly unique and special.

I honestly could go on forever about this experience. I cried when I left both lodges. It was life changing. Thank you Singita for a very memorable experience.

Singita Sweni Lodge

“Excellent location, fantastic food and hospitality”

We spent only 2 nights at Singita Sweni Lodge and wished we could have stayed longer. All the stunning suites have amazing views of the Sweni River and you can hear the hippos at night. The food was fantastic and served with a smile by our friendly server 'Trust'. Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff who really looked after us. Our Ranger, Grant, was very knowledgeable and friendly, and he made us feel at ease when he (and Laurence the tracker) took us on a walk down to the river to see the hippos at sunset, an amazing experience. When we next visit Africa we will definitely return to Singita Sweni but for longer next time!

Singita Sweni Lodge

We have spent two nights at Singita Sweni and loved every minute. The lodge is small (6 rooms) so it is very quiet and intimate - perfect for honeymooners and couples wanting a romantic setting.  The staff were fantastic - nothing was too much trouble - and the rooms are spectacular. The design is contemporary rather than traditional, but it worked for us and we loved the outdoor shower. You can sleep outside on the deck if you want, but we didn't try that ourselves. The Singita concession in the Kruger Park has quite a varied topography, and we saw plenty of game: two big prides of lions, huge numbers of elephants, plenty of rhino (ten in one game drive!) and lots more besides. Alex (my wife) visited the spa for a massage and swears that it was the best she has ever had (thank you Kate). We didn't have any trouble with mosquitos (neither of us were bitten) and I can't really point to any downsides. Thank you, Nigel, Nico and Glass, for a superb stay - we hope to be back again soon!

Singita Sasakwa Lodge

“10 stars! The best hotel I have ever stayed in!”

Singita Sasakwa is definitely the best hotel I have ever stayed in. We spent 3 out of 12 nights there travelling around the Serengeti and Masai Mara. The rooms are "out of Africa" on steroids and service unparalleled. I wanted to take Martin our butler home. Lee our ranger was superb. I will definitely return.

“Lavish Luxury and Flawless, Gracious Service”

This was certainly the most lavish accommodation we have ever experienced. It was a honeymoon treat we will never forget. The cottage was fit for royalty and the kindness and graciousness of the staff was second to none. We will never forget Francis, our guide, who showed us so many beautiful animals and taught us so much about Tanzania and the great work Singita does to support the local communities. We were honoured to be a part of it.

Singita Pamushana

I was privileged enough to spend three (blissful!) nights at Singita Pamushana Lodge earlier this year and wow, what an experience! The location is just incredible - the best I have ever visited in Southern Africa! It’s wonderfully remote and you have this fantastic reserve all to yourselves... I could carry on forever about the staff, the game experience, food and wine but would rather suggest just go, you won't regret it!

“Hidden Gem”

If you're looking for tasteful luxury, inspired cuisine, fine wines, spectacular wildlife and surroundings and the warmest people you will be blessed to meet, seek no further! We also enjoyed the most authentic rural cultural tour I have experienced anywhere in Africa. There are many compelling reasons for including Singita Pamushana Lodge on your itinerary.

“My favorite place in the world”

We spent 25 days at Singita Pamushana Lodge on our last trip to Zimbabwe. It felt like three days. I love it there - it feels like home. Need I say more? Just make sure to go fishing for breem, and have the chef prepare it for you at dinner. It's a real treat. Everyone, and everything, at Pamushana is amazing.

Singita Boulders Lodge

“Surpassed all expectations”

We are fortunate to have travelled all around the world and stayed in the best hotels and can say without hesitation that this lodge offered the best experience of them all. The accommodation is well designed and stylish and every need is catered for. Each and every staff member is focussed on guest satisfaction and this is monitored carefully by local on-site management (husband and wife team) and at a Director level at 'head office' where each and every guest comment is read by a Director.

The lodge has a fantastic location right on the bank of the Sand River and the natural advantages that this offers combined with the passion for customer service is unbeatable.

“Singita Boulders Lodge”

My husband, daughter and I recently stayed at Singita Boulders Lodge as part of a 3 week visit to Africa. I cannot praise this lodge enough. From the moment we arrived at this mystical place, we were treated like royalty but without a big fuss. It’s just the way it’s done at Boulders! They even managed to make the 5 a.m. wakeup time for the game drives, into something special. We had the best rangers; Johan and Lawrence, although everyone else at the lodge loved their rangers too. The food was amazing. The kitchen staff were attentive to our every need. Maria, our server was so sweet and lovely. When we left we truly felt as though we were leaving family. For anyone wanting to go on safari in South Africa you must look into this lodge! I would even love to go and stay for a few days just for relaxing and pampering.

We would rate everything a 5+++  We hope to return someday soon.

Singita Faru Faru Lodge

“Simply Magnificent”

We ended our 8 day safari in Tanzania at the end of June with three nights at Singita Faru Faru Lodge. We were picked up at the Sasakwa airstrip by our amazing guide Toti and arrived at the lodge with a warm welcome by manager, Brad. The rooms were simply luxurious and Faru Faru boasts what we believed to have the best staff on the planet. We have been to plenty of 5-star accommodations across the globe and Faru Faru puts them all to shame. We will miss Paul and Toti, both of whom we are extremely fond of and took excellent care of us on our three nights there. The game drives were spectacular. We were able to witness a live kill of a crocodile taking down a wildebeest at the Grumeti River. Who could forget the thousands and thousands of migrating wildebeests as we would never forget "The Greatest Show on Earth"? It was definitely a trip of a life time. Thank you Singita Faru Faru!

“Truly unique!”

Faru Faru is a truly unique and exclusive place. The rooms, the mess area, the food, the service, the hosts (Kate and Brad) etc. are amazing. The setting (private concession yet touching the Serengeti, fenceless) adds to the privacy. Everything about this place is outstanding. I have been on safari on numerous occasions. I have stayed at tens of different camps (whether permanent or not) and lodges, and Faru Faru is the best place I have been to. There's not much I can add.
Fantastic. Voilà.

“Best of”

The most magical Singita experience as you merge with the bush. The location is spectacular as you enter the thick bush with the rooms peering down at the water hole. The contemporary design and glass design is what makes this lodge so outstanding. Even the gym has spectacular views of the watering hole. My favourite Singita lodge.

Singita Sabora Tented Camp

“God's most beautiful game reserve”

Having travelled over 1000 air miles/year, this rivals all else. Tucked in the Serengeti with extraordinary animals, a tented lodge of incredible elegance brings you back to a time when life was much more simple - an elegance that only kings and queens could have hoped to enjoy. Every detail from the tents to the linens and silverware brought us back to a time we all so want. The second level of this is the amazing staff - from our guide allowing us to see a leopard gnawing on its prey, or majestic giraffes nibbling on a tree. It's hard for me to even describe the professionalism of the staff. They tended to every detail of our days. The management team and kind and warm staff made our visit all the more special. Finally the food was as good or better than almost any restaurant I have eaten in. This is a vacation no matter how small or large a budget, one must come to.

Singita Sabora Tented Camp

“Spectacular, sensational, superb”

Three nights at the Singita Sabora Tented Camp exceeded our expectations. What a treat to be spoiled by Apollinaire, delighted on drives by Medard, all overseen by Wilson. The game drives were extraordinary, accommodations exquisite (will never forget outdoor shower under the moonlight).

Singita Sabora Tented Camp

“Lives up to the hype”

I was cautious leading up to my stay here because I had such high expectations seeing Singita Grumeti Reserve as #1 ranked hotel in the world by Travel & Leisure. Somehow this place lived up the hype.

Tents were stunning. For our family of four we had 2 separate bed-room tents with huge bedrooms and bathrooms, and then a separate living room tent to lounge in with couches, games, and drinks. The decor of the tents was incredibly beautiful with an African antiquey theme that made us feel like we were living in some sort of royal palace. There was also a patio with comfortable chairs and telescopes for viewing. And the best part, about 50 feet outside the tent is a great little day bed to rest on in between game drives, where Giraffes, Zebras, and Impalas would wander all around and come within 100 feet away. Beautiful views of the plains surrounded by wild animals.

Food was phenomenal, from breakfast to mid-day snacks, to delicious dinners. Breakfast and lunch out on the plains under a tree with animals all around was a nice touch.

Service was impeccable as expected. Our butler Moses was awesome, took care of us every step of the way and made our stay nothing short of perfect.

Even though the accommodations were unbelievably impressive, the best part had to be our guide Adas. He had to be as knowledgeable, passionate, and enthusiastic as any guide in Africa. Truly made our experience memorable with his insights, facts, observations, and fun high-speed rides back to the camp after our adventures took us past sunset. We had seen every animal possible already in Tanzania when we arrived at Sabora Tented Camp except for 2: leopard and rhino. In 2 days with Adas, we saw 3 leopards and 1 or 2 rhinos on the reserve, as well as cheetahs, lions, and all of the others again. We owe it all to Adas for making it happen.

We also spent a day at Singita Sasakwa Lodge, which was beyond amazing as well. Highly recommend visiting there as well if you can, but Sabora was as good as it gets.
